PARIS To PITTSBURGH

I get a little leery when documentaries come out about things like climate change. Are they trustworthy? Is the film made with a huge agenda?  Does the film let emotion overtake science, or equally annoying to me – does the science overtake the reality of daily life?

And when I saw that Bloomberg was creating a film reacting to the Trump administration pulling the US out of the Paris Climate Accord, I assumed the film would have a big agenda, setting the stage for a 2020 Presidential run for a certain person with the Bloomberg last name.

But the new film on Nat Geo TV – PARIS TO PITTSBURG celebrates states, local governments, non-profits, and businesses that are committed to addressing issues surrounding climate change.

PARIS TO PITTSBURGH shows the real, on-the-ground impact of climate change, creating devastating and irreversible effects on communities across the US. Heatwaves, droughts, massive snowfalls, intense storms, wildfires– so many locations have suffered massive weather-related issues in recent memory. Now, with this new reality, PARIS TO PITTSBURGH introduces us to people who are on the front lines, making an incredible impact.

The film highlights locations including Iowa, Puerto Rico, Southern California, Orlando, Miami, and, of course, Pittsburgh, sharingsustainability programs, entrepreneurial initiatives, building a clean energyeconomy, and supporting leadership that is committed to ensuring that localcommunities are safe places to live.

Want to check it out?  PARIS TO PITTSBURG will air on Nat Geo TV Dec 12 and 13, and we hope it will be on Nat Geo TV on demand.
