First – let me say – I so wish I had looked at WeddingDresses.com when I was shopping for a dress 5 years ago. They have an excellent site with tons of dresses, ideas, hacks…if you’re getting married, you need to bookmark that page, stat!
But back to the story…
Let’s face it. There’s a LOT of people out there who want to make money off you. And when it comes to wedding, those people come out in force. Why pay too much when there are easy wedding hacks that save you big bucks!
Why give random wedding vendors that much power over your life?
We did so many of these ideas from the article at our wedding – DIY drinks, printed our own invites, had the marriage and reception in the same place, never mentioned we were planning a wedding when we went shopping around for ideas, contacted our photographer after seeing her on Groupon, bought our flowers from Sam’s Club, etc.
With a little extra thought and effort, we were able to pull off a pretty great wedding for $5,000.
This list has 60+ topics that are right on the money. Many of these topics I didn’t consider…and now wish I did! I know we could have saved hundreds more with some of these ideas.
It’s solid food for thought and will quickly getting you thinking about your finances, ways to save, and ways to get much more bang for your wedding buck.
Weddings don’t have to cost a fortune! Why spend months of salary on one day, when you could be putting that money to a down payment on a house or car, toward retirement…or toward a killer honeymoon.
